Monkey Business

Monkeys are popular! We've had a few orders for monkey cupcakes lately. We recently had a special order for pink ones and we couldn't resist posting them! They were made of dark chocolate cake with vegan frosting and mini sugar cookies. They were for a little girl's 2nd birthday! It was evident by her very large collection of stuffed monkeys, she was a huge fan!

Big thanks going out to Brent Hale for taking some great photos!

We came across these super cute Hedgehog Invitations by Lucky Bee Press. Use them for a baby shower, birthday party, or any party.

We also love these Notes for Baby-To-Be from Ink Spot Workshop. Have shower guests fill out the cards with a message to the baby-to-be during the shower. A very sweet keepsake.

Creative Costumes

Our lovely Lauren loves Halloween! Putting together a costume allows for some creative thinking. Take a look at some of her creations.

The Big Day! Cape Cod Part II

The wedding day. Gorgeous weather, beautiful location, and an amazing couple. We couldn't be happier for Sasha and Chris!

Lauren was on site for this wedding; Ruthie was at a wedding for a personal friend. No fear though, Lauren and her husband Mike had it under control! Everything turned out beautifully. And from what we've been told, the day ran very smoothly.

Photos, from left to right: table setting with monogram adorned menus, hand painted sand dollar for table numbers, Norway Spruce sapling favors and a fish bowl with goldfish; hand painted sand dollar with the couple's monogram on the head table; basket with custom designed programs; little Norway Spruce saplings lined up for the bridal party in the bridal suite; guest seating cards presented in a "sand box;" ceremony area with palm trees.

Cape Cod Wedding Part I

As many of you know, a lot of work goes into a wedding. One of the many reasons we are here is to help alleviate some of the stress that can come with planning and preparation. For us, planning an event is a fun and creative process. After all, we wouldn't be doing this if we didn't love it!

As we shared with you in an earlier post, our Iron Bride Sasha and her fiancé Chris were to be married September 19th. There were many steps taken by all parties to put together a beautiful wedding for this amazing couple. From the flowers, table runners, centerpieces to the place cards and more, we helped Sasha and Chris achieve the beautiful Cape Cod wedding they were hoping for.

Before we get to share photos from the wedding, here are some photos of how we got to the final result. After all, sometimes the trip can be almost as fun as the destination!

Photos, moving left to right: Crate and Barrel boxes the vases came in for the centerpieces; vases get cleaned and filled with rocks, ready for the fish; sand dollars for the table numbers are sketched out; the table numbers all hand painted; the couple's monogram is painted on their sand dollar for their table; starfish are reused from a previous wedding, old ribbon pulled out and new ivory ribbon threaded through; a starfish tied to the basket of wedding programs we designed and assembled; Norway Spruce saplings for favors; Lauren and Ruthie work together to wrap and tie 140 saplings; detail view of the monogram we designed for the couple.

More photos to come . . .

Tammy & Kevin Part II

A few posts back, we posted about a June wedding we had planned. At the time, the professional photos weren't available to us. Here are just a few photos from HJM Photography who was hired by the bride's grandmother as a wedding gift. Thank you Henry for sharing them!

We want to send a special thank you out to Joanne who recommended us to Tammy and Kevin. Thank you so much Joanne for your support!

Our Iron Bride

We are currently working for a couple who is getting married this Saturday in the Cape. The bride's name is Sasha; she and Ruthie went to high school together. Sasha came to us looking for invitations initially but decided to hire us for our design services as well as some coordination assistance. She is one busy gal so our services have provided her with a little bit of relief.

Sasha is especially busy as she is being featured in season II of Iron Brides, a reality T.V. show. On the show, eight women compete for a $9,000 wedding photography and videography package for their wedding. We don't know if Sasha is the winning bride yet but she certainly deserves to be! Visit the Iron Brides website and keep an eye out for the show airing in December. Sasha has mentioned us during the taping of the show as well as in her blog. Its been a pleasure to work with Sasha and she has been really supportive of our new and blossoming business.

More to come after this weekend!

Delectable Diva

Divas are high maintenance but we don't mind. Our cupcakes and cake made one particular diva customer very happy. They were for her 60th birthday and what better way to celebrate than with a stylish set of delectable desserts? Complete with tiara and chocolate high-heel shoes, these desserts were dressed for the party. We did orange and green per her request. A very subtle diva palette. Our favorite feature with these were the filigree cupcake wraps from Paper Orchid.

Fishy First Birthday

We've had a slew of cake orders lately. We did these Under the Sea themed cupcakes and smash cake for a special little guy's first birthday. We had a great deal of fun with these. They were a hit with the party guests too!

A Little Lady's First Birthday

We recently planned a first birthday party for my daughter Gloria. It was small and simple, perfect for a one-year-old. It was a lady bug themed party with hints of summer. We made all the cupcakes, food and decorations. In lieu of gifts, we asked guests to make a donation to a local children's hospital.

June Wedding

June is a beautiful month for a wedding. In fact, its one of the most popular months.

We helped a couple from Carlton, Massachusetts plan their June wedding. The ceremony was to take place in town and the reception at their home. This couple had planned a few areas of their wedding but many details still remained to be finalized. They realized that their wedding was only 3 weeks away and they needed help! They called us and, according to them, they are so thankful they did. They tell us we were a "Godsend!"

We had 2 1/2 weeks to pull together the remaining details of Kevin and Tammy's wedding. Some of these details included: the cake, music, ceremony, reception flowers and decor, tent, tables, chairs, linens, and the list goes on. It was a busy few weeks! We pulled it off and had rave reviews. A thank you note from Tammy reads:

"We cannot express our thanks enough for helping us to plan our special day
in such a short period of time. You guys did a wonderful job! Best of luck with Eutopia Events and your endeavors. We wish you continued success and will certainly recommend you both. Kudos on a job well done! Thank you again!" ~Tammy McCarthy
